Elections 1835

Colonel Fox resigned in favour of Lord John Russell who has lost South Devon to Mr Parker. This resigniation is described as being purchased  in speech in The Times, Thursday, Sep 24, 1835  at South Devon Conservative Dinner as he had received a lucrative appointment in the ordnance
