Joseph Jesse Hind of 20 Nelson Street, Stroud has resided form many years at Springfield House, Brimscombe where he has successfully carried on the business of florist and nurseryman. He has served on the Stroud Board of Guardians and Rural District Council as the representative for Thrupp and has just been re-elected in those bodies by default. Some time ago he commenced business in Nelson Street and in response to the requests of a number of electors he is standing as a candidate for the Stroud Urban District Council.
He was successfully elected coming 17 out the 18 elected
